Carson Lane

Carson Lane is a sports technology entrepreneur, business analytics strategist, and Division I track and field athlete, specializing in hardware-software integration, product democratization, and the data-driven training mechanics required to optimize athletic execution.
Carson operates at the high-velocity intersection of elite athletics and predictive technology. A middle-distance runner for the University of Iowa Men’s Track and Field team, Carson translates his firsthand understanding of athletic performance into disruptive sports architecture as the founder of Stridelane. Recognizing that elite LED light-pacing systems — which visually guide runners around a track at target speeds — were financially gatekept by five-figure price tags, Carson leveraged his background in Business Analytics and Information Systems to build a highly accurate, market-accessible alternative from scratch.
Backed by the University of Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (Iowa JPEC) Undergraduate Startup Incubator, Carson has rapidly scaled Stridelane from a raw hardware concept to a revenue-generating enterprise deployed across multiple regional and collegiate track meets. The technology’s debut at the Jimmy Grant Alumni Invitational directly set 19 personal records and two meet records, providing immediate validation of his proprietary system. An innovator driving the future of athletic performance, Carson is currently expanding his tech stack to include AI-driven coaching mechanisms, firmly positioning himself as a leader in making elite athletic training infrastructure accessible at every level of competition.
Bridge the gap between raw data and physical performance using Carson’s dual perspective as a Division I competitor and predictive analytics programmer.
